Es una Organización que apunta a:

  • Apoyar las investigaciones científicas en temas relacionados con el planeamiento y desarrollo de sistemas de salud, con interés particular en sistemas de pacientes salientes y en cuidado de pacientes en sus hogares.
  • Apoya la investigación científica sobre telemedicina.
  • Ofrece comunicación entre personas que tienen alguna relación con la telemedicina y el planeamiento y desarrollo de pacientes externos y cuidado de pacientes en sus hogares, en cualquier país del mundo.
  • Provee consejos a organizaciones y gobiernos de cualquier país sobre temas relacionados con telemedicina y planeamiento de sistemas de salud.
  • Establece estándars.
  • Estudia problemas éticos relacionados con la telemedicina y el cuidado de pacientes en el hogar.
  • Provee capacitación para profesionales de salud y voluntarios en temas relacionados con pacientes externos y cuidado de pacientes en sus hogares, en cualquier país del mundo.
